For beginners, a way to make money from internet giveaways is to sign up as a member for free and download all the gifts. Just one internet giveaway will probably give you virtually everything you require to make money fast on the web. You can probably download ebooks or software that you can resell, plus the sales website to sell them from, and lots of hints and tips about how to drive visitors to your new site.

But there is a better way to make money from a giveaway. You will profit even better if you have a product to offer yourself, and use it to build your list.

Rosie Cottis has been profiting from internet giveaways for several years. Here are her top tips for how to make money from them.

1. Offer a genuinely valuable gift – something that people will really be grateful for.

2. Upload your gift and test your own opt in before the doors open. Most visitors will come in the first 24 hours.

3. Have an upsell that people will see immediately when they sign up for your gift. You could put this second offer on the same page as the download link for the free gift. I find that a relatively low priced upsell works best ($5 to $15).

4. Send your subscribers the download page link in an email from your autoresponder, even if they already went straight there after they confirmed. This means they have another chance to buy your upsell.

5. Stack up further emails in your autoresponder, giving them either extra information or more bonuses.

6. After that, you can begin to promote your main products (or affiliate products). Remember that the free gift should bring you subscribers who will be interested in your later promotions, so choose your free gift carefully.

7. Always promote the giveaway. If you do not yet have a list, use free methods such as safelists. Do something every day. This will increase your points so your gift is displayed higher on the list where more people will see it.

8. If the giveaway offers an upgrade for contributors where you have the chance to buy your gift a higher place, I recommend you take it. It pays.

Finally, keep watching what is happening. Is your gift attracting as many subscribers as the others on the same page? How well is your upsell making sales? Are your subscribers unsubscribing right away, and if so, why? There are a lot of things you can work on to increase your profits.
