Writing original materials for article marketing

Many online business owners start building an empire from easy tasks like writing articles for submission to directories. They write the content, they take care of SEO, they submit the articles and cover all the other aspects required by online business management. Have you got the right skills to be an author? Keywords rule!

Create a list of the most relevant keywords for your domain of activity. Then start writing an article for each of these. Why should you stick to a single keyword? The reason is very simple: search engines have to rate your content as valuable and your web visitors need to consider it worth reading. InĀ  article marketing, the use of a singular keyword keeps the content transparent, clear and easy to follow.

Article length

How long to make the articles? Well, an article ought to be between 300 and 600 words long to correspond to the basic rules of article marketing. The perfect length appears to be 400-500 words because you don’t want to leave the reader frustrated because he/she hasn’t received enough information. If you use a text editor, you will be able to check the number of words for a specific piece of content.

Keyword density

Keyword density also causes lots of troubles because it is insufficiently understood. Do not start from the premises that the frequent repetition of the keyword in context will be relevant for your article marketing efforts and will increase your results in the search engines. If you have a keyword density higher than 4%, Google and other search engines could identify you as spammer. There is no way to use gimmicks here, at least not if you want to reach far with your business online. If you repeat the keyword up to 7 or 8 times in the article, and have some secondary keywords sprinkled throughout the material, it will be just fine.

The title and the content structure

In order for article marketing to be successful, you need to come up with some appealing titles for your materials, something to stir the reader’s curiosity. Moreover, search engines will better index your page if you include the keyword in the title of the articles too.

Make the content easy to read even if your primary goal is search engine optimization. The information has to flow naturally, the paragraphs should be short enough to read and the rules of coherence have to be thoroughly followed.

The author’s resource box

This is an important part of article marketing because here you include the link that leads back to your website. You can mention a few things about yourself, such as your professional history but you have to make sure that it is well optimized.
